What ViewRise does
Every analytics tool shows you views. That's the easy part, and it tells you almost nothing. The question worth answering is whether a video beat what that channel normally does — and what the ones that did have in common.
Each upload is measured against the median of the uploads around it — so a channel that grew doesn't make its own back catalogue look like failure.
Shorts and longform are completely different view distributions. Comparing them produces nonsense, so ViewRise never does.
A video posted three days ago is still accumulating. It gets flagged as provisional instead of quietly counted as a flop.
